THE AWARD WINNER OF THE INTERNATIONAL WELDE ART PRIZE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY 2013

From December 1st through January 26th 2014 ZEPHYR will be presenting the exhibition Susa Templin: Real Estate. This solo show of the award winner of the International WeldeKunstpreis (Welde Art Prize) for Photography 2013 displays a comprehensive survey of her works.
With photographs and collage-like superimpositions Susa Templin creates imaginary and real „image buildings“. In this process she uses architecture, installation and photography as medium as well as material: she cuts, combines and overlays images of the urban space or interiors, places them in rooms or models of rooms and photographs them again and again. For the exhibition Real Estate the artist creates an expansive installation which will change our entire exhibition space.
The Welde Art Prize is donated by the Brewery Welde from Plankstadt. It can be counted under the highly renowned contests of the german art scene and was donated since 1995. In 2013 (as in every second year) the Welde Art Prize is dedicated to photography. An independent jury selected the winner from international contributions. The exhibition at ZEPHYR is an integral part and final highlight of the International Welde Art Prize.
